Ahrensburg, 22 October 2019. NORDLAND has been certified according to the currently valid guidelines and specifications prescribed by internationally recognised standards – and is organised accordingly. After a three-day audit conducted by TÜV Nord, the full-service system integrator has yet again been awarded the SCC**certificate (Safety Certificate Contractors) as well as the certificate according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 for the company’s applied quality management system.
Both the consistent application and continuous improvement of the current HSE (Health Safety Environment) and QM standards are an integral part of NORDLAND’s service-oriented corporate philosophy: “Delivering top performances in the field of occupational health & safety is one of our company’s essential values and the prerequisite for working in highly sensitive and hazardous environments such as petrol stations”, explains Matthias Holz, Managing Director of NORDLAND and responsible for Certifications and Occupational Health & Safety. “Our company has been awarded the internationally relevant safety certificates HSSE, ExxonMobil and SCC**. Obtaining the pending, globally recognised SA 8000 certification (Standard for Social Accountability) will complement our existing certification mark in so far as it provides duly documented evidence of our corporate social responsibility.”
This particularly high quality standard – which they set both themselves as a team and their network of partners – puts NORDLAND in the almost unique position of being able (and allowed!) to work as an approved and accredited service provider and general contractor in extremely safety-critical areas, such as nuclear power plants or petrol stations, anywhere in Europe. For each project, the company identifies individual risks and develops adequate, customised safety measures. Basic training of the service technicians, such as the annual HSSE certificates or briefings regarding specific project requirements, are conducted by both the senior technicians on site and the responsible project managers and – last but not least – by NORDLAND’s Occupational Safety & Quality Management department.

At present, there are approximately 14,000 petrol stations in Germany – and, statistically speaking, NORDLAND has provided on-site services to each of these stations at least once.
Within the company’s comprehensive POS service portfolio comprising rollouts all across Europe as well as maintenance and field service for both cash desk and IT systems, the complex “Digital Signage” segment has developed more and more into a key business element.
There are currently more than 30,000 NORDLAND screens installed in the field throughout Europe.
